Laboratorio Bicocca per la Didattica STEM

DiSTEMLaB is:

- A leading hub for STEM education dedicated to teachers and students within the school system 

 

- An initiative led by university professors and researchers with decades of experience in STEM education and science communication

 

- A laboratory of the "G. Occhialini" Physics Department at the University of Milano-Bicocca, which carries on the legacy of the MUSA/Spoke 6 project: "A Look at the Milan Sky."

CURRICULUM PLANNING

DiSTEMLaB supports teachers and schools—from kindergarten through secondary level—in the design of laboratory-based educational activities for STEM learning. With an extensive and ever-growing catalog of projects covering the entire spectrum of STEM competencies, DiSTEMLaB serves as a cornerstone for schools aiming to expand their portfolio of activities and expertise in scientific, mathematical, and technological disciplines.

TEACHER TRAINING

Through training courses, seminars, and tutorials, the DiSTEMLaB staff supports both educators taking their first steps in the STEM world and expert teachers seeking new challenges. The DiSTEMLaB model is built on the sharing of expertise. Drawing on twenty years of experience in cutting-edge scientific research, our staff provides deep STEM knowledge that complements the classroom-specific pedagogical expertise of school teachers.
